The kitchen wasn’t working well for this Wauwatosa family. It was closed off from the dining room and had an awkward layout. They dreamed of a bright, open-concept kitchen with better functionality and entertaining space. The challenge was removing the wall into the dining room and exposing the staircase.
Kowalske Kitchen & Bath worked with the homeowners to design a classic white space. The end result is a kitchen that flows well into the dining room and living room. The once hidden staircase is now open to the living room and is a beautiful feature of the home.
The decorative elements in the kitchen bring the whole design together. The homeowners opted for white shaker cabinets to match the style of their Wauwatosa home. They added brushed nickel knobs and vintage cup pulls. A small gray island has a butcher block top, while the perimeter counters are white quartz. The highlight of the kitchen is the gray arabesque backsplash tile. Other features of this kitchen include a Kohler farmhouse sink and beautiful lighting.
