The client’s original kitchen had poor lighting and was closed off from the rest of the home creating a cave like feel. To solve this issue, a wall was removed to allow cabinets to go to the ceiling and creating more storage space. The new layout of appliances and cabinets created more countertop workspace. The peninsula created a separation from the dining room and added additional storage space. New general and task lighting helped to brighten up the space along with the natural light from the dining room windows.
