Kowalske Kitchen & Bath was hired as the design-build-remodel contractor to renovate this first floor Wauwatosa home. The colonial home, located in the Park Ridge neighborhood, needed an update. The kitchen, dining room and garage entry were closed off with many rooms and hallways. They wanted to reconfigure the layout for better flow and function.
Kitchen | Dining Room | Entry Remodel
The first thing we did was remove several walls to open the kitchen into the dining room. We moved the powder room and added a pantry closet. The garage entry area was reconfigured with a new door and boot bench for storage.
The design is bright and white. We added warmth and contrast with a maple wood hood and island. Special features in this kitchen include the matte black hardware, classic subway tile backsplash, a pot filler faucet and farmhouse sink.
The boot bench gives the family a place to hang coats and store shoes when they enter from the garage or back door.
This kitchen has tons of storage with roll out drawers and a bi-fold appliance cabinet to hide small appliances. We added a pantry closet for extra food storage.
Powder Bath Remodel
The wood-and-white theme is also continued in the powder bath. The walls are covered in white shiplap. We installed a floating wood vanity with a vessel sink and Kingston Brass wall-mounted faucet.
