1940s Cottage with Character & Details
Kowalske Kitchen & Bath transformed this 1940s Delafield, WI kitchen into a stunning, charming space. The original kitchen had soffits, outdated cabinets and laminate counters. The new space was opened into the dining room to allow for an island with more counter space and seating.
The highlights of this remodel include beautiful quartzite counters, a farmhouse sink and a subway tile backsplash. We added warmth and contrast to the space with gray custom inset cabinetry, mullion glass doors and beadboard wainscoting.
The homeowner wanted this cottage to have character and beautiful details. We achieved this with custom hardware, three-panel doors, moldings, etched custom lighting and a Victorian-inspired kitchen sink faucet by Kohler. We refinished the original hardwood floors to tie the whole space together. This Nagawicka Lake home will be enjoyed by the family for many years.
