The homeowners of this Mukwonago bathroom contacted Kowalske Kitchen & Bath to modernize and update the space. While the bathroom was large, there was not enough storage space and the shower was small. The finished result is a very elegant bathroom that evokes a very peaceful atmosphere.

Challenges

• Bathtub Blower – The freestanding tub has air massage which required installation of a blower. It needed to go below the floor between the floor joists. 

Highlights of this Bathroom Remodel in Mukwonago: 

• Larger Walk-In Shower – To improve the showering space, we let in more natural light! The old shower was dark and small. We expanded the shower by moving the toilet location. A glass enclosure allows natural light to flood the beautiful new shower. The shower has two spacious niches for storage as well as a shower bench. 

• Air Massage Bathtub – The corner whirlpool tub dominated the old space. A new air massage bathtub for two takes up less space and makes the corner feel more open and airy. 

• Larger Vanity – The vanity is much bigger and now meets their storage needs without dominating the space. The countertop goes underneath the upper cabinets. Outlets inside the cabinets allow them to plug in their electric toothbrushes or blow dryer. 

• Full-Length Mirror – The client wanted a full length mirror so we had one made through the cabinet company to match the vanity mirror. It makes the bathroom feel even more spacious and brighter.

• Neutral Color Palette – The homeowners liked creamy whites and warm neutrals for the cabinetry, trim and walls. The Cambria quartz countertop is both durable and blends so well with the tile and cabinetry. 

• Kohler Lighting – Sconces on either side of the mirror light up the vanity area.
