1950s Pink Bathroom Remodel
Pink was the most popular bathroom color in the 1950s, so it’s no surprise that this Wauwatosa bath was full of pink tile. The family was ready for a change. The bathroom was showing its 70 year age and the homeowners couldn’t stand up under the short showerhead.
Kowalske Kitchen & Bath was hired to design and remodel this Wauwatosa pink bathroom. The design is bright, white and clean. The shower features classic white subway tile and a niche with hexagon accent tile. Open shelving replaces a small linen closet for easier access to towels and bathroom items. The opposite wall features gray cabinetry, quartz counters and open shelving above the toilet for additional storage.
We brought warmth and contrast to the space with plank flooring, a wood mirror and a wood shelf above the vanity. The entire space is tied together with brushed bronze lighting and plumbing fixtures.

“I can’t express enough of my gratitude for the work that Kowalske did, and the way they made this the best customer experience as possible. They were attentive to our needs from start to finish. [C]ommunication was excellent the entire time and the project stayed on time. Everyone we interacted with was polite and professional. We did a full bathroom remodel and I am so in love with the result. They gave us great guidance and recommendations along the way. Kowalske is the team to hire!”
