Mukwonago Colonial Exterior Updates

Exterior with Curb Appeal | Mukwonago, WI

The homeowners reached out to update the look of their Mukwonago home’s exterior. Kowalske Kitchen & Bath previously worked on the interior of their home, including the primary bathroom and first floor. Their colonial was outdated with gray siding with white and mauve trim. They wanted to update the siding color and add stone to give it an elevated look.

Although we primarily work on interior remodeling projects at Kowalske Kitchen & Bath, we do offer exterior work such as siding, gutters, and stonework. Many of our projects involve moving windows and doors, which often affects siding or brickwork.

Highlights of this Home’s Exterior Updates

• New Exterior Look – The update included replacing all of the exterior siding, trim, gutters and garage door. We chose green siding with stone and cedar accents to enhance the curb appeal. The engineered siding and trim is an extremely durable choice for Wisconsin weather. 

• Wood & Copper Elements – The copper gutters and wood elements are the jewelry for the exterior of the home. The douglas fir tongue and groove ceiling for the soffits and porch roof are stained to match the cedar. 

• Cedar Accents – We added cedar shutters, a cedar garage door and posts to break up the monotony of the green siding and add more warmth. The two cedar posts on either side of the porch provide balance and elevate the look of the front door. 

• Veneer Ledge Stone – The new veneer ledge stone adds interest and elevates their colonial home to include a craftsman twist with warm wood and soft stone accents. 

• Lighting – The added recessed lighting for the soffits of the home enables the home to be appreciated at night.

The exterior of this home has a fresh new look with the many unique details. And their wooded lot provides the perfect backdrop for this colonial home with craftsman and mountain architectural style.
