The article highlights two projects – a luxurious Oconomowoc bathroom and a Waukesha bathroom that accommodates a homeowner using a wheelchair. Both of these remodeling projects won “Remodeler of the Year” awards from NARI Milwaukee.

Lake View Bathroom
A couple nearing retirement contacted us to remodel their Oconomowoc home, including their master suite. The original bathroom was dark and felt very closed off. The homeowners wanted to have a space that felt more open, airy, kept separate vanities, and included a larger shower. Using a herringbone pattern in the tile floor really emphasizes the new clawfoot tub as a true focal point. His and hers vanities are stained alder. We expanded the shower size and added a quartz bench that matches the countertops. Numerous showering options include a handheld shower spray, a rain head, and a wall-mounted showerhead for the ultimate showering experience.

Accessible Master Bathroom Remodel
The goal of this Waukesha master bathroom remodel was to use universal design principles to accommodate a homeowner who uses a wheelchair. The old bathroom was narrow and the client couldn’t maneuver her wheelchair. We expanded the bathroom size by taking space from an adjacent closet. The layout was reconfigured for a bigger zero entry shower, 5-foot turning radius, floating vanity and custom linen cabinet. Materials were carefully selected in the shower, including non-slip tile, decorative grab bars and a universal design handheld showerhead. Other features of this beautiful bathroom include a backlit mirror, heated floors and comfort height bidet toilet.
