Sunroom Addition + Kitchen Remodel
Gold Award

Residential Addition $500,000+
A cramped 1990s kitchen was not meeting the needs of this busy, young family. A sunroom addition, kitchen and dining room remodel would create a space where they could create family memories. We expanded the kitchen into the old eat-in area and widened the dining room entryway. The end result includes two islands, two sinks, and a beverage station, where the entire family can gather – cooking, doing homework or relaxing. Organized storage includes drawers, an appliance cabinet, glass china cabinets and docking drawer. A simple black, white, wood and brass color palette creates a timeless design.
Homeowner Requests & Project Goals
- Enlarge the kitchen and connect the space to a sunroom addition and the dining room
- Create a family-friendly kitchen where they can cook and be together.
- Add an island just for seating, where the kids can sit and do homework.
- More countertop space for food prep
- Install two workstation sinks – one sink for food prep and another sink for cleaning dishes
- Create a focal point in the room (the hood)
- Custom cabinetry to create more storage features for a busy family (beverage center, china cabinets, appliance garage, pantry, and docking drawer)
- Timeless design aesthetic
- Keep the hardwood flooring

Modern Wet Room Remodel
Gold Award

Residential Bathroom $100,000 – $150,000
The owners of the bathroom – an active couple with young adult children – came to us because their primary bathroom was crowded. The sinks were too close together and the shower and toilet rooms were closed in. They also wanted a freestanding soaking bathtub. Their design inspiration was a wet room they experienced while vacationing. The space is now bright and more open with a larger shower, bathtub and two separate alder wood vanities. The wet room is modern and elegant with a soaking bathtub and a fluted, wood-look tile feature wall.
Homeowner Requests & Project Goals
- Create a spa-like wet room bathroom where the couple can relax and unwind.
- Split the single vanity into two separate vanities with quartz countertops so they aren’t bumping into each other.
- Add a freestanding bathtub.
- Enlarge the walk-in shower.
- Add functional storage solutions.
- Make the space more open and bright.
- Create a design with beautiful finishes and textures.
