Blue cabinets gained popularity this past decade and we don’t see them leaving. Rich green custom cabinetry in the kitchen is a big movement, as people are moving toward warmer colors. Green is earthy, fresh and organic. Green sets off natural stain colors beautifully and also plays a great grounding complement to white upper cabinets. Mixing cabinet colors and blending warm and cool tones will become a bigger movement in the next decade as well.
2. Furniture Style Cabinetry & Caning Inserts
Custom cabinetry will also gain popularity in the bathroom. The bathroom linen cabinet will start to look more like a furniture piece and be customized to the specific storage that a client is needing in their bathroom. Cabinetry will become more decorative with spaces to display attractive storage. Instead of having glass in cabinet doors, we will see more caning inserts. The kitchen sink has really expanded its potential in the past decade. Companies such as The Galley have completely changed how we work in our kitchen by bringing the sink front and center. This type of innovation is one that will continue to change kitchen design for decades to come.
